Stephanie Shelburne, mezzo-soprano

Stephanie graduated with degrees in vocal performance and literature from Bob Jones University (Jean Greer) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Dawn Harris). She has studied at the Berlin Opera Academy, Foothills Opera Experience, Lyric Theatre Illinois, and recently debuted on the Rodeheaver Stage, Greenville, South Carolina as Madame de la Grande Bouche in the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast. Stephanie has had the privilege of being a soloist for Handel’s Messiah in many professional venues. Other roles have included the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, the Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, and Dorabella in Cosí fan tutte. Stephanie is an active church musician, as well as a member of The Greenville Caroling Company this past holiday season. Notable venues performed include Carnegie Hall (New York City), the Orchestra Hall (Chicago), and the Mendelssohn House (Berlin). This is Stephanie’s first season with the Greenville Chorale and the Herring Chamber Ensemble.
