Kelley Batson Addison, mezzo-soprano

Kelley grew up in Greenville, and was a student of The Fine Arts Center and Brevard Music Center. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory from Furman University, where she was in Furman Singers, Chamber Singers, and the Honeybees. Kelley’s background in music performance spans a wide range including musical theater, classical, church music, and pop/rock. For many years, she operated a private teaching studio, and recently recorded a collection of original piano compositions. Having sung in choirs from preschool age, Kelley has been a member of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Durham Choral Arts, Connecticut Grand Opera Chorus, and the Wilton Singers. Kelley’s career has included various positions in the performing arts and non-profit industries, and she currently serves as the Director of Development for International Ballet in Greenville County. This is Kelley’s third season in Chorale and Herring Ensemble.
