A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Jessie Barnett holds her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal
Performance from Furman University (2016), and her Master’s from the San Francisco Conservatory of
Music (2018). She’s had the privilege of performing various repertoire from art song to oratorio to
opera; however, since completing her studies Jessie has focused her attention on ensemble work. She is
primarily engaged with Servire Chorus, a professional choral non-profit based in the Southeast who
works with local organizations to support community-based initiatives through performances,
fundraising, education and community outreach. She is also thrilled to be singing with the Greenville
Chorale, Herring Chamber Ensemble and Gallus Camerata (Columbia, SC) this season. Previous
engagements include participation in the VOCES8 US Scholars program (2023-2024) and performances
with Chicora Voices, The Kings Counterpoint, and SC Bach. In her free time, Jessie’s hobbies include
watching thriller movies or documentaries, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Extraordinary Awaits!
