Stephanie Shelburne

mezzo-soprano

Stephanie holds a master of music degree in vocal performance and literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Dawn Harris). She has studied at the Berlin Opera Academy, Foothills Opera Experience, Lyric Theatre Illinois, and Rodeheaver Stage. Stephanie has had the privilege of being a soloist for Handel’s Messiah in many professional venues. Other roles have included Madame de la Grande Buche in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: The Musical, Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte, and Dorabella in Cosí fan tutte. Notable venues performed include Carnegie Hall (New York City), the Orchestra Hall (Chicago), and the Mendelssohn House (Berlin). Stephanie is an active church musician and private voice teacher, as well as a member of The City Carolers of Greenville. This is Stephanie’s second season as a member of the Greenville Chorale and Herring Chamber Ensemble.
