A native of Woodruff, SC, Amy graduated from Furman University with a degree in church music. She also attended Converse College and Southern Seminary.
Amy has performed with VOX and the Ethos Chamber Singers in Charlotte, and locally with Greenville Light Opera Works and the SC Bach Choir.
She is a Children’s Choir specialist who has taught music, led choral workshops, and directed children’s and youth choirs in Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
For over fifteen years, Amy served First Baptist Greenville, where she conducted and coordinated Youth and Children’s Choirs, and was a frequent soloist and member of the Sanctuary Choir. Currently, she is a Staff Singer at Christ Church Episcopal and the Voice and Rehearsal Instructor for the Church Street Choral Academy.
Amy is the Coordinator for Alumni Engagement and Community Relations at Furman University and has been part of the Chorale and Chamber Ensemble for nineteen years.
